Thirst for Me
by Jaine Diamond
Published by Montlake
Book 1 in the Orchard Cove Series
Two rivals. One small-town summer. And a heat wave no one saw coming.
Mason Grant is driving me crazy. The grumpy, gorgeous bar owner thinks my waterfront shop belongs to his family. I think he needs to mind his own business.
It all started the moment I arrived in Orchard Cove. I came here for a chance to save my smoothie business. A chance to heal. What I didn’t come here for was to start a war with the town hottie.
Except…Mason is impossible to ignore. And every heated argument just leaves me wanting more. The more time I spend battling him, the harder it is to deny our chemistry. And I know he feels it too. Suddenly, a summer fling seems like a very tempting—but bad—idea.
The problem? I’m still healing. And Mason is grieving. Neither of us is ready to let someone in through the cracks in our hearts. Besides, I never planned to stay in this town forever.
But despite my war with Mason, Orchard Cove is starting to feel like home. And maybe—just maybe—Mason Grant is so much more than my enemy.

Before I begin, I would like to thank Jaine Diamond and her team for sending me an ARC of Thirst For Me - via Netgalley - in exchange for a fair and honest review.
For my regular readers here, you know how much I love Jaine Diamond.
She has truly mastered the craft.
She has deep, layered characters.
She has a well thought out storyline.
The romance is always filled with tension and is downright sexy.
All that, and a Canadian author to boot!
So when I saw she was writing a new series, I just had to read it!
No surprise, I loved it!
Admittedly, it's different from her past work.
As it should be. These characters are not part of the Dirty/Players/Vancity Villains series'. Well, not directly. Jaine has tackled some darker storylines in those books.
Thirst for Me isn't like that.
Yeah, there are adult issues. Grief. Financial troubles. Nothing traumatizing. Everything felt like a relatable, everyday problem.
It was very rom-com if I'm honest, and I'm not mad about it.
It's exactly what I'm looking for at this time of year.
Escaping to Orchard Cove was fun.
The town was adorable, and the characters that Jaine wrote for us were so much fun. Not just Sierra and Mason. The side characters were just as great. I honestly can't wait to read their future books - and get the other characters that won't get books on page again. They all were so entertaining in their own way - and some intriguing enough that had me wanting more.
Which is what Jaine does.
If you are in the mood for a rivals-to-lovers full of sexy tension, and great banter, you need to read Thirst for Me. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Sierra: "Did I not mention that I just met the hottest bartender in the known universe? Maybe if I hadn't sworn off males to the rest of the year - you know, for mental health reasons - I'd take it as a good sign."
Mason: "No boys, huh?"
I murmur in her ear.
Mason: "How about a man?"
Sophie: "You're going."
Sierra: "Okay, okay. Just let me get ready."
Sophie: "Yay! Let the awkward forced socializing begin!"
Sophie: "I'd die without my phone,"
Sophie muses.
Sophie: "Petey and I have phone sex every night when we're apart."
Sierra: "Sophie. Dear god. Have some compassion for those of us who have no sex at all, phone sex or otherwise. You cruel, heartless wench."
Sophie: "Sorry. Sometimes I forget."
Haven: "That's Bryce."
Jace: "Your boyfriend?"
Haven: "No. He's a rent-a-date. I have to return him by midnight or his rate doubles."
