Oh. My. God.
This news made my freaking day yesterday.
My best friend and I suspected that Jennifer's big news that she hinted at early last year wasn't just the release of four books this year (although that is an impressive announcement). We were convinced it was going to be an adaption of FBAA. By December we were starting to think maybe it fell through.
But then many book merch shops we follow announced that their FBAA licensing was expiring at the end of February, and wasn't being renewed, and that sparked the hope again. Why else would Jennifer pull FBAA licensing but not her other series' if it wasn't because of an adaption and the company doing it wanted exclusive merch rights?
Then yesterday it was announced and it was everything I hoped it could be.
What we know:
It's being made by Amazon Studios. The same company that created the amazing show The Boys, and freaking The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power. They actually have a lot of amazing, and well done content. I feel pretty confident that they will bring these books to life in the best way.
Anne Cofell Saunders is adapting FBAA. She will be writing, and is the show runner on the project. Anne has some impressive shows in her resume as a writer and/or producer, including The Boys, Star Trek: Discovery, Smallville, 24, and Battlestar Galactica.
Executive producers are Jennifer L Armentrout, Luke Ryan, and Sascha Hecks from Chaotic Good Studios.
Needless to say, I will definitely be turning on my TV for this one!
