Lore Olympus: Volume 2

by Rachel Smythe

Published by Random House Publishing

Episodes 26-49

Persephone was ready to start a new life when she left the mortal realm for Olympus.

However, she quickly discovered the dark side of her glamorous new home—from the relatively minor gossip threatening her reputation to a realm-shattering violation of her safety by the conceited Apollo—and she’s struggling to find her footing in the fast-moving realm of the gods. Hades is also off-balance, fighting against his burgeoning feelings for the young goddess of spring while maintaining his lonely rule of the Underworld. As the pair are drawn ever closer, they must untangle the twisted webs of their past and present to build toward a new future.

This full-color edition of Smythe’s original Eisner-nominated webcomic Lore Olympus features a brand-new, exclusive short story, and brings Greek mythology into the modern age in a sharply perceptive and romantic graphic novel

Genre:

Lore Olympus is the #1 WEBTOON comic on webtoons, and is currently being published in Volumes. It is being adapted by Netflix as an animated show as well. Volume Two episodes 26-49 of the comic. Rachel Smythe brings the Greek Gods to a more modern world in this graphic retelling of Hades and Persephone.

If you read my first review, you know how much I love this series, and that still rings true today. I look forward to every Saturday night 10pm my time for the next episode to be posted on webtoons. Its amazing to me, someone who never really got into graphic novels, is drawn so much into this story, but Rachel Smythe's retelling is so fun, refreshing, and emotional, I'm obsessed. Its weird for me, since I am caught up on the series, to go back to these early days in Hades and Persephone's relationship, and knowing everything that happens, but there is something special about opening up a book, smelling those new pages, and looking at the beautiful imagery in person, as opposed to a screen is amazing.

The story is wonderful. Especially if you love a tortured soul for a hero and a slow burn romance. The art is just beautiful. I know it isn't for everyone. My best friend couldn't get into it because she didn't like the colors. But for me, I love art. The colors, especially blue and pink, are beautiful to me. Warm and Cool coming together. Persephone literally lighting up Hades life. Just.... chefs kiss.

Download the webtoons app, read this amazing, and ongoing story, and if you love it as much as me, buy the books. It's a whole different feel from the app and book, and they do look beautiful on a book shelf.
